MedWise announced the closure of its healthcare facility located at the corner of 20th and Wood Drive in Okmulgee.

The decision, which took effect on April 27, is said to be part of the company’s routine evaluation of their clinics to ensure they meet both healthcare standards and financial objectives. MedWise spokeswoman Antonya Pharr provided the following statement regarding the closure: “On April 27, Med-Wise made the tough decision to close the clinic on South Wood Drive in Okmulgee. MedWise regularly evaluates every clinic to ensure they provide our patients with the best healthcare experience while meeting our business and financial goals. After evaluating this clinic, we decided it was not meeting the threshold needed to operate longterm.

“We want to extend our appreciation to the patients of this community who trusted our clinic staff to provide them with care during its operation.”
