Billy James Sanders

Billy James Sanders was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 28, 1958, to Clyde Sanders, Jr. and Sedalia “Sadie” Lee Southern Sanders.

Billy attended Morris Schools and graduated with the class of 1976. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, country music and his evening walks with his dog Sissy. Billy passed away from this life April 6, 2024, in Peoria, Ariz. at the age of 65. Billy was preceded in death by his wife Sherry; his parents; brother Charles Patrick Sanders; sisters Sedalia “Sue” Sanders, and LeNora May Busby.

Billy is survived by sons, Jason Bonds, Brian Sanders, Steven Pray and wife Jamie; daughters Amanda Stidman and husband Jeff, Stephanie Carpenter and husband Aaron, Stacie Phillips and husband Brian. Grandchildren, Kyla Bonds, Caysie Bonds, Jason Bonds Jr., Roman Sanders, Jacqui June 28, 1958 – April 6, 2024

Stidman, Cicely Bonds, Kyle Carpenter, Erica Thomas and husband Alex, Bella Phillips, Steven Pray III, Shasta Pray, Great-Grandchildren, Bentley Bonds, Larayne Bonds, AJ Corrie, Kason Corrie and one on the way. Brothers Clyde “Buddy” Sanders and wife Teresa, John Sanders and wife Shirley; sisterin- law Debra Sanders; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at Calvary Baptist Church of Okmulgee Monday, April 22, 2024, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating.
