Court Clerk, Sheriff Draw No Challengers; Election is June 18th
Elections have been set for two county positions following the candidate filing period which ended April 5.
District 2 County Commissioner David Walker, who is seeking to retain his post, drew two challengers. Walker will face Ivan Funk and Steve Ward in the June 18 Election.
County Clerk Tonya Day is being challenged by Tiffany Withrow for that post, which will also be up for vote on June 18.
Sheriff Eddy Rice and County Clerk Clerk Charly Criner will retain their offices as they drew no challenging candidates during the three-day filing period.
In Okmulgee County, the following individuals filed for these posts:
