Solar Eclipse Sweeps Across North America

This photo captures what was seen across many portions of the state as residents took to looking at the sky for the solar eclipse on April 8. The Okmulgee area saw a 96 percent totality. The Okmulgee County Court Clerk’s Office took a moment to view the spectacle. Pictured are Lacey Dixon, John Newport, Julia Wesley, Charly Criner, Laney Miller, Aerial Agee, Terri Williams, Allye Williams, and front is Alizay Boss. Areas of the Sooner State in the path of the eclipse saw complete darkness, as many stopped to experience the awe-inspiring event.
