The Okmulgee County Homeless Shelter invites the public to their Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, which will be held Monday, March 18, from 5-7 p.m. at the Okmulgee Elks Lodge, 701 S. Mission Lane. Tickets may be purchased at the Okmulgee County Homeless Shelter at 214 N. Morton or the Okmulgee Times office, 320 W. 6th St. in downtown Okmulgee. Mayor Mickey Baldwin stopped by this week and purchased his tickets from Times staff member Katina Holland. The meal will include spaghetti, salad, a drink, garlic bread and dessert. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-12, and children 2 and under eat free. Carryout orders will be available, and extra desserts can be purchased at $3 each. The event will feature a silent auction with baskets donated by businesses around Okmulgee and a 50/50 drawing. You do not have to be in attendance to win the auction, but must be present to win the drawing.
