A Morris man was injured after a two-vehicle Friday evening just east of Okmulgee.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated the crash March 8, which happened about 7:23 p.m. at the intersection of U.S.-62 and S. Prairie Bell Rd, three miles west of Morris.
According to the OHP, a Chevrolet SUV driven by a 16-year-old female from Morris, was attempting to turn southbound on Prairie Bell Road from the highway. A second vehicle driven by Tristan Followill, 26, also of Morris, reportedly rear-ended the SUV.
Followill was transported by Okmulgee County EMS to St Johns in Tulsa. He was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal and leg injuries.
There were four underage passengers, all from Morris, in the SUV also, who were not injured.
The OHP attributes the crash to ‘following too closely.’
Assisting the OHP at the crash site was the Okmulgee County Sheriff ’s Office, Morris Police Muscogee Nation Lighthorse, Morris Fire Department and Okmulgee County EMS.
