Okmulgee Police Chief Joe Prentice was honored at the Okmulgee Community Center last week, surrounded by a room full of family and friends, to celebrate his over 18 years of dedicated service leading the Okmulgee Police Department. Prentice retired at the end of February, but is not leaving law enforcement. He is planning to transition to work as an investigator in the Okmulgee County District Attorney’s Office.
