Jack B. Francis, Jr.

Jack B. Francis, Jr., lifelong Okmulgee resident, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, in Tulsa. He was 74 years of age. Jack was born on Saturday, September 3, 1949, in Okmulgee to the late Jack B. Francis, Sr. and Wynona (Acton) Mattingly.

Jack graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 1968 and was soon drafted by the U.S. Army. He married Mary (King) Francis on July 4, 1983, in Okmulgee. Jack worked at Polyvision.

Jack enjoyed video taping football games, visiting pawn shops, searching for bargains and he loved his music, especially guitars. He will be remembered for his joy in pestering others and the love he had for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Mary Francis; children, Cody Jack Francis and companion April Douglas, and Tonya Breshears and husband Lee; grandchildren, Alexis, Lilly, Dora, Remington, Ray Lynn, Cody Jack “Buggs,” Jack Jenson “Toad,” Christopher, Erica, J.R., Dexter, and Hunter; siblings Milissia Smith, Joann Walker and husband Robert, Julie Johnson, David John Mattingly and wife Robin, Carolyn Speaks and David Smith, Jackie Joe Francis and wife Jill, Alicia September 3, 1949 – February 25, 2024

Boulanger, Angela Francis, and Rebecca Koenig and husband Roger. He leaves behind a host of cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; dad, Truman Mattingly; brothers, Joe Acton and Steve Rhodes; and a sister, Marilyn Ramer.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from 1-7 p.m., with family visitation from 5-7 p.m. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Apostolic Life Church, with Pastor Steve Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Jack’s Tribute Page at www.mcclendon- winters.com.
