Upgrades Continue on Historic Building
The historic Okmulgee County Courthouse continues to get a ‘facelift’ as construction crews continue to install new tinted energy-efficient windows into the building. Workers are installing the windows on the third floor of the building. While work is going on, barricades help keep patrons away from the area, as members of the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office decided to have some fun while monitoring courthouse traffic and observing the ongoing construction. The courthouse has undergone extensive remodeling, having a new roof added, heating and air conditioning, new windows and courtroom upgrades.
