Obituaries

Nettie Cordelia ‘Dee’ Robison

Nettie Cordelia “Dee” Robison was born on March 23, 1933, in Okmulgee to Dollie (Rice) Baldridge and George W. Baldridge. She took her final earthly breath and entered the gates of glory at 9:13 a.m. on February 19, 2024, with her faithful daughter by her side.

In her mid-teens, she married her childhood sweetheart, Charles V. Churchill on July 25, 1949. From this union, came a wonderful baby girl and she was named Charla Kathleen Churchill. Dee and Charles enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing. While Charles made a living as a truck driver, Dee worked at Ball Brothers in Okmulgee and retired after 33 years.

Years later, she married Carl Robison Jr. on June 16, 1989, at an outside wedding held on the grounds at her daughter’s house in Nuyaka. Dee and Carl enjoyed 20+ years of traveling, working as ushers in Branson at the Ray Stevens theater, going to and having garage sales, camping, fishing, planting and tending to their vegetable garden and keeping their lawn the best on the block. She had a special love for her red rose bushes, which she was so proud of! She loved spending time with her cherished best friends, Lola Taylor, and Charlie Brown, as March 23, 1933 – February 19, 2024

well as her family and other friends. She enjoyed singing old hymns and gospel songs, attending and being active in church and she loved Jesus. The last time she was heard singing gospel songs was in the Woodlands Skilled Nursing Home with her favorite sister-in-law Wanda Baldridge.

Dee is survived by her daughter Charla (Churchill) Davis, husband Prescott; granddaughter Udonna (Davis) Edmonds, husband Chris, grandson Anthony Davis wife Theresa; great grandchildren Kenneth Edwards-Davis (wife Alasin), Maralyssa (Edmonds) Mabrey, husband Jace, Maelonna Edmonds, Lillian Gunelson and a host of family and friends.

Dee was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Flora R. (Baldridge) Crawford; her brothers Calvin Baldridge and Alfred Baldridge, infant brother Warren Baldrige, unnamed infant brother, infant sister Jewel Dean Baldrige; her first husband, Charles Churchill; and her second husband Carl Robison.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Nuyaka Baptist Church, with Rev. David Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Okfuskee Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Dee’s Tribute Page at www.mcclendon-winters. com.
