Grief Is Selfish
I sat down the other evening with a good friend and got lost in my feelings for a bit. It was unintentional but it was so close to my husband’s death anniversary I guess I should have expected it. The great thing about this friend is she cares and she really wants me to tell her when she asks how I am. After I was done though, she asked me to write it down for the paper. She said I have helped her too many times speaking about grief not to share it with a wider audience. I’m not sure how well I can, but I am going to give it a shot and make this a series with candid conversations about grief and some of the things I learned along my journey through it.
