Mary Jane (Mason) Reynolds, age 83 of Morris, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024, in Tulsa. Mary Jane was born November 6, 1940, in Stigler and lived in Hoffman, parented by Myrtle and Vernon Makinson. She attended Hoffman Grade School and Morris High School, graduating in 1958. She worked for Southwestern Bell, first in Okmulgee and then in Tulsa, for 36 years.

Mary Jane married David Reynolds in 1966 and had one daughter, Rhonda Kay Reynolds Griffin. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family and spending time with her granddaughters, Mary Emma and Sara Janelle and Son-in-Law, Greg Griffin. She also enjoyed visits from her foster daughter, Margretha and husband, Derek Girvin. They will all miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Frank Makinson, Dean Makinson, and Gary Makinson; sister Nancy Brown; and niece Rebecca Jane Makinson. She is survived by brothers, Arnold and Wayne Makinson; and sisters, Janet Kelough (and brother-in-law, Jarrett) and Ann Wiggins and brother-in-law Wendall Brown; and many loved Makinson and Reynolds nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her friend, Kay Furr. She was preceded in death and is survived by many other telephone office friends and had loved friends in her high school graduating class and in her church.

Mary Jane attended First Christian Church of Morris after marrying David and was active in Sunday School and supportive roles in the church. She battled Rheumatoid Arthritis for more than 40 years while remaining positive and never letting it crush her feisty spirit. Those who knew her admired her attitude and example. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Viewing will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, February 23, at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Morris.
