“Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have done shall be done to him.” - Isaiah 3:10-11 God’s Word is a glorious read. There are great battles, love stories, miracles, and prophecies. One can turn to any page and find something well worth one’s time. There is solace, comfort from loss, and promise of a better tomorrow. But it’s true that you can seldom find anything completely free. With only one exception, everything comes at a cost. We can read today’s passage and see there are two possible outcomes for us, and that both require some “payment.”
