Born in a stable and reared in a carpenter’s home in the seemingly insignificant village of Nazareth, Jesus did not come to earth to enter a popularity contest. Isaiah 53:2 tells us that Jesus grew up before His Father (God) as a tender plant out of dry ground. For 400 years, things had been spiritually dry and God had not spoken words to mankind that are recorded in our Bible during that time. But then the Savior came.
