Stephyn (Steve) Joy Kemper, a proud veteran and resident of Beggs, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the age of 71. Stephyn was born on November 7, 1952, in Fairbury, Ill. to his parents Ralph and Nancy (Denniston) Kemper.
Steve’s dedication to serving our country was evident in his proud service in the Air Force. He contributed to our nation, embodying the principles of honor and duty that carried with him throughout his life. In the journey of his life, Steve found his soulmate, Donetta Bowser, and they were married on January 21, 1975, in Tulsa.
Steve wore many hats over the years, including being truck driver, carpet layer, Pepsi maintenance worker, and even a “Garbologist” (working on a trash truck), as lovingly described by his wife, Donetta. He was also a skilled builder, having constructed homes, and he operated his own mechanic shop.
Steve had a passion for the outdoors, a love for old trucks, and a penchant for tinkering in the garage on any project he could get his hands on. His handson approach to life extended beyond his professional pursuits and into the cherished moments he spent with family and friends.
