“On the day I called, thou didst answer me, my strength of soul thou didst increase ... For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly; but the haughty he knows from afar. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou dost preserve my life; thou dost stretch out thy hand against the wrath of my enemies, and thy right hand delivers me. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; thy steadfast love, O Lord, endures for ever. Do not forsake the work of thy hands.” (Psalms 138:3, 6-8) This passage is clear as glass. God hears our prayers and answers. When we pray, know that He has already put in motion what we need and wait for it, although His answer may not align with our flawed desires. He recognizes us as His children and desires only what is best to raise us up to be mature in our faith. He doesn’t send us trouble, but He can comfort us in the midst of it and ease our suffering. We have purpose! No matter the age or stage of life, we are useful, we have value, and we can benefit those around us, ourselves, and even the Lord Himself. Remember who you are - a child of the Most High, a member of the royal order, one who was formed by God’s own hand. The Lord’s love is unwavering, it will never change, and will always be with us. Never lose heart!
