Brenda Jo LeGrand

Brenda Jo LeGrand, a lifelong resident of Okmulgee, received her angel wings on January 22, 2024, at the age of 70. Brenda was born to Ellis Tolbert, Sr. and Claudette (Aylor) Sampson on December 5, 1953, in Okmulgee.

She had a huge heart that was filled with love for the Lord, her family and fur baby Cujo. Brenda had a smile that would light up any room and was always the life of the party. She enjoyed pool, camping and game nights.

Brenda is preceded in death by both of her parents; husband Billy LeGrand; son Bill LeGrand; brother Ellis Tolbert Jr.; sisters Carol Jean Morgan, Sandy Torix-Wall and Viola Tolbert; nieces Sandra Harvey and Haley Teague; and nephew Mike LeGrand.

Survivors include her daughter Misty Dawn Brooks; grandson Jacob Brooks and Krystel Pitts; granddaughter Jolie Brooks; stepdaughter Jalie Morrow and children Mason Morrow and Cassidy Wind. Nieces: Angelia Trout and husband Sam, Angie LeGrand, Corina Richardson, Amber Smith, Shelly Spears, Joy Ezell Mannon, Mae Harjo, Chloe Richardson, Brittani Rivera, Alysa Rivera, Emily Snow December 5, 1953 – January 22, 2024

and boyfriend Nathan Franklin. Nephews: Patrick Richardson Jr and wife Amanda, Michael Harjo and wife Madison, Christian Richardson, Matt LeGrand and Zech Snow; several great nieces and nephews and a great-great nephew Benji. Aunt Bonnie Marris and several cousins who were like best friends to her while growing up, as well as several extended family members and close friends.

Viewing will be held at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 1-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2024, at 2 p.m. at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dale Litsey officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery.

Casketbeares: Michael Harjo, Christian Richardson, Jonathan Brooks, Steven Brown, Patrick Richardson, Jr., Mason Morrow and John Newport. Honorary Casketbearers: Matt LeGrand, Rocky Baker, Paul Harjo and Patrick Richardson, Sr.

The family will be wearing pink to celebrate Ms. Bren and invites anyone who would like to participate to do so.
