Linda Gayle (Sites) Hardgrave

March 16, 1952 – December 28, 2023

Linda Gayle (Sites) Hardgrave, 71, a resident of Mounds, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Tulsa.

Linda was born March 16, 1952, to Charles Leroy Sites and Martha Marie (Milsap) Sites. She was the oldest of their five children and was raised in the Catholic church. After graduating from Bartlesville’s Sooner High School in the class of 1970, she married her first husband, Vic Allshouse, and they had two children.

Linda was highly skilled in office and clerical work, specifically bookkeeping. She was office manager of her father’s oil companies, Domestic Energy Co, and Full Service Drilling, through the 80s until the oil crash. Up to her retirement, she also worked for other local businesses including First Family Federal Credit Union and the Creek Nation Housing Authority.

Linda was married to Joe Thomas Hardgrave for 28 years at the time of her passing. They enjoyed many happy years traveling the country together with their little dog, Star, as Joe worked in the fiber optics inspection industry. Most recently, their time together was spent at home in Mounds, cared for by her daughter, Kasey; sonin- law, John; granddaughters Katey, Natalie, Emily; and great-granddaughter, Anna, who she was very fond of.

Survivors include Joe Hardgrave, husband, of the home; two children, Kasey Bowers and husband John of Okmulgee, Charles Allshouse and wife Amy of Greers Ferry, Ark.; one sister, Sharon McCaghren and husband Jerry of Alabama; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews whom she really loved. Linda was preceded in death by both parents and three of her siblings, Charles Sites, Jr., Ronald Sites, and sister, Karen (Sites) Summers.

Linda’s wishes were to be cremated, foregoing burial until the time of Joe’s passing when they will then be laid to rest together. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral service, and she asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local animal shelters to help them with their selfless efforts in caring for animals.
