Judith Lynne King

Judith Lynne King, lifelong Okmulgee County resident, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at her residence. Judy was born June 1, 1946, in Morris to the late Pollard Eli “Doc” Sanders and Florence Rozelle (Trease) Sanders. She graduated from Morris High School and later attended Cosmetology School. Judy married her best friend, Norman Ray King, on October 14, 1965, at Morris United Methodist Church.

Judy worked as a cosmetologist for many years along with farming with Ray. They enjoyed making woodcrafts and cherished the time they worked together when Ray was a Crop Insurance Adjuster. She was a member of Morris United Methodist Church. Judy will be remembered for her love of family and always putting others first.

Preceding Judy in death were her parents; husband; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Opal King; and brothers and sisters- in-law, Carl and Mary Lou King, Leota McCurry, Wayne King and Leota and Ronnie McCurry.

Survivors include her sons, Greg King, Keith King and Mark King; grandchildren, Kade June 1, 1946 – January 12, 2024

King and wife Maddie and Katie Norberg and husband J. Lee; great grandchildren, Karter Renee King, Dean Ray Norberg, Lilly Norberg and Gracie McGuire; twin sister, Jane Casey and husband John; brothers and sisters-inlaw, Kathryn Hendrix and husband Chester, Roy King and wife Linda, and Wilma Goodwin; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2023, at Morris United Methodist Church. Mr. Dusty Shipley will officiate. Interment will be held at Morris Cemetery.
