Henryetta to hold golf clinic
By LARRY OWEN SPORTS EDITOR

Special event begins Jan. 15

The new Henryetta Golf Facility, which is located north of Henryetta High School in the parking lot of the HHS softball field, will be the site of a 5-week golf clinic.

The Knight Time Golf Clinic is available to any child in Oklahoma from grades 1st-8th and will cost a one-time fee of $100 per person for the 5-week event and is due on the first day of the clinic (Jan. 15) with entrants having the choice of paying by cash or check.

The clinic will begin Monday, January 15, from 5-8 p.m. The other dates for the clinic will be January 22 and 29 and February 5 and 12. There will be three different 1-hour time slots for each clinic: 5-6 p.m. for 1st and 2nd grade boys and girls, 6-7 p.m. for 3rd-5th grade boys and girls, and 7-8 p.m. for 6th-8th grade boys and girls. There will be a limit of 10 entrants per session.

Each parcipant will receive a t-shirt and five hours of golf instruction from current Henryetta boys golf coach Ryan Swallow and former longtime Henryetta golf coach Dutch VanDenBorn geared to each individual’s skill level – from beginner to experienced.

The Henryetta Golf Facility, which is indoors, is a state of the art facility with four hitting bays, Skytrak Plus golf simulator, and synthetic chipping and putting greens.

Each entrant is asked to bring golf clubs if they have them, but golf clubs will be provided by the instructors for those that do not have any.

For more information or to register for the Knight Time Golf Clinic, please call or text Coach Swallow at 918-521-8890.
