Okmulgee County Treasurer Lindsay Bunch reminds area residents they have until this Friday, Jan. 5, to pay 2023 taxes without penalty. To make it easier for taxpayers, there is the Payment Drop Box outside of the Okmulgee County Courthouse, located under the American flag. If you have any questions, please contact the treasurer’s office at 918-7563848. The current tax payment must be paid in full or in two equal payments if the entire bill is $25 or more. The second half is due by March 31, without penalty. The Treasurer’s Office can only accept the exact amount due, which is listed on the statement. All incorrect payments will be returned, and this may cause you to incur a penalty. Taxpayers can combine multiple statement amounts onto one payment.
