Claudine Sue Griggs, age 89, passed away in Tulsa on December 21, 2023. She was born to Claude and Mammie Jane (Morgan) Lovell on March 21, 1934, in Wetumka. She grew up in Weleetka and graduated high school from Pharoah. Soon after marrying, she and her husband moved to the Morris area where she has since resided.
She was a natural caregiver, not only her family but to others. She worked for many years at Bixby Manor then as a private caretaker before deciding to stay home. She loved to take care of her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She felt her life was enriched by all her family. She loved to garden and spend time outdoors. She was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Claudine is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Louise Dewar, Margaret Smotts, Robert Lovell, Joe Lovell and Peggy Sullivan.

She is survived by her husband Warren Griggs; son Mikeal Rose and wife Tina of Morris, Cathy Brintle and husband Gary of Checotah; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Morris Cemetery Chapel, with Pastor Dale Litsey officiating.
