A Bristow man is dead following a crash Monday near Beggs.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported the collision at 2:11 p.m. Dec. 18, ½ mile west of 110 Rd., which is five miles west of Beggs near the Okmulgee/Creek County line on Hwy. 16.
The victim was identified as Bryan Mobbs, 33, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to the OHP, Mobbs was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche westbound on Hwy. 16, when for an unknown reason, the truck veered left and struck the rear of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound.
Mobbs’ truck entered a ditch and then struck a tree. He was killed at the scene. Seatbelts were not in use.
The driver of the second vehicle, Paul Riggs, 49, of Okmulgee, was not injured.
The condition of the victim is under investigation by the OHP.
