Partnership supports local first responders
Windy Chevrolet and General Motors were proud to donate $5,000 to the Okmulgee Police Department and Okmulgee Fire Department. The presentation was made Wednesday afternoon to Chief Joe Prentice and the OPD and Chief Dewayne Hurt and the OFD.
Windy Chevrolet partnered with the departments through the Chevy First Responder Appreciation program, which allowed Chevrolet to support the local heroes who serve and protect communities around the nation.
“We appreciate our first responders and what they do everyday! We are thankful to be able to help out our community and the people that make it great!”
The partnership, which featured a one-time donation, aims to bolster their vital work and enhance their capabilities to respond to emergencies effectively. The program also provides an opportunity for community members to earn additional funds for the organization via a Test Drive Fundraiser.
General Motors First Responder Appreciation program provides a special offer on the purchase or lease of select new Chevrolet vehicles for firefighters, police, EMTs/paramedics, 911 dispatchers, and healthcare professionals and their sponsored spouse.
