Lorena “Marina Kay” Moss, 73, departed from this life on Thursday, November 30, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born Wednesday, January 11, 1950, in Okmulgee.
Kay loved camping, fishing, birds, flowers and nature. Kay also loved old country music and had a great Loretta Lynn impersonation. Her biggest love was her family that included cooking and spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband, Phil Moss; sons, Anthony Moss and wife, Danielle of Okmulgee, and Phillip Moss, Jr. and wife, Tammy of Sapulpa; sisters, Leda and Betty; grandkids, Nate Moss and wife, Laura of Okmulgee, and Allic Moss of Okmulgee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in by sisters, Mary, Barbara, Rosie, Elsie and Beverly; brothers, Bill, James, January 11, 1950 – November 30, 2023
Roy, Edward, Gene, and brother Thornburg; father, William T. Thornburg; and mother, Mary Rena (Jones) Thornburg.
Pallbearers were Phil Moss, Anthony Moss, Phillip Moss, Jr., Nate Moss, Sonney Thornburg and Billy Thornburg. Honorary Pallbearer was Johnny Thornburg.
Graveside service was held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Okmulgee Cemetery, with Rev. Dale Litsey officiating.
Gary Kelley’s Add’Vantage Funeral Service of Tulsa handled the arrangements.
