An investigation is underway after a male was found shot to death Monday evening.

Chief Joe Prentice stated that at 8:43 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of 2nd and Bryan.

When they arrived at the location, they found the unidentified male subject lying in the street, dead from apparent gunshots.

The shooter was described by witnesses as a male wearing dark colored clothing, who was seen running south from the area down an alley.

No other description, or the identification of the victim, has been released at this time.
