Election set to fill Seat 4

The Okmulgee Public School Board of Education held a brief special meeting yesterday afternoon. All items on the consent agenda were approved, as well as a Resolution calling for a general election for Board Seat 4. This election will take place on April

12, 2024. If necessary, a primary election will take place Feb. 12, 2024.

Seat 4 is currently held by Rod Wiemer, who has served on the school board for 12 years. Wiemer has said that he does not plan to run for re-election.
