Tommy Ray Thompson

Tommy Ray Thompson passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023, in Tulsa. Born on March 24, 1970, in Okmulgee, Tommy lived a life full of love, laughter and service.

Tommy was a man of service, dedicating over 15 years of his life to the United States Army. His service took him to Germany, Kuwait, Iraq and Fort Sill. He was a proud member of Desert Storm and served in various capacities in the Army, from Cook and MP to MLRS (Missile Launch Rocket System) specialist. After his military service, Tommy continued to serve his community as a Facility Manager for One Fire Casino, part of the Muscogee Nation.

Tommy was a man of the Pentecostal faith, and his beliefs guided him throughout his life. He had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending his free time camping and fishing. He was also a skilled handyman, with a particular passion for working on cars, 4-wheelers and motorcycles. These interests were more than hobbies for Tommy; they were a testament to his love for life and his ability to find joy in the simple things.

Those who knew Tommy will remember him as a funny, handy and loving individual. His sense of humor brought March 24, 1970 – October 21, 2023

joy to those around him, and his handy skills often came to the rescue in times of need. Above all, Tommy was a loving man, whose care and affection for his family and friends were evident in his every action.

Tommy was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of love, service and laughter will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Tommy was the beloved son of Harvey Ray Thompson and his wife Susie of Schulter, and Rita Nunn and her husband Jake, also of Schulter. He was a cherished brother to Terry Thompson and his wife Nicole of Okmulgee, Tony Thompson and his wife Tammy of Wilson, Jennifer Langley and her husband Scott of Okmulgee, Jawanna Brian and her husband Mike of Henryetta, and Joanna Mathews and her husband J.D, of Dustin. Tommy was a loving uncle to Terry Thompson, Jr. and his wife Kaylee, Trent Thompson, Talon Thompson, Allie Thompson, and Rhett Thompson. He was a dear nephew to his Uncle Tony Garrison and his wife Patricia of Bixby. Tommy was also a devoted companion to Debi Marshall of Walters, Oklahoma, and a proud father to Kelsee Simon and Colt Darnell, and a doting grandfather to Kooper Simon and Abree Darnell. Tommy’s large, loving family, along with numerous other nieces, nephews and friends, will miss him dearly.

A time of remembrance will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 2-8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 E. Trudgeon St. in Henryetta, with family present to receive friends from 5-7 p.m.

Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service. An online guestbook is available at www.integrityfuneralservice. com.
