Mary Elizabeth Shafer passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Henryetta. She was born Tuesday, May 14, 1957, in Wildomar Calif. to the late Louie and Mary (Porter) Edwards. Mary grew up in Oklahoma and attended high school. She married Harold Shafer, Sr. in July of 1975. Mary worked at Tyson Chicken before she became a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, fishing and watching television with her late husband Harold.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two sisters, Francis and Daphne; a grandson, Dillon Shafer; and granddaughter Mandy Shafer.
Survivors include three daughters, Tina and husband Nathan, Cindy Marie and April Loubat; two sons, Harold and David Shafer; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2023, at Okmulgee Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home for the help of funeral services.
