Lee Roy Perkins, Sr. was born June 6, 1939, in Beggs. He passed away at home in Bixby on October 3, 2023. He grew up serving the Lord at the Church of God and continued to serve the Lord throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Josie Perkins, his wife Patsy Perkins, and his children Lee Roy Perkins Jr., Teresa Perkins, LaQueta Perkins, and Tonja Perkins. Brothers and sisters Juanita, Francis, Ernest Jr., Pauline, Franklin, Thelma, Dorothy, Alta, Barton and Udell.

He is survived by his brother Elmer; sisters Loretta and June; and his children Shannon Perkins and Jennifer Slocum of Prue, Missy Rowden of Van Buren, Ark., Brandy and Anthony Shelton of Bixby, and Wallace Cherry of Mountain Burg, Ark.

He had many nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing and visitation took place from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, October June 6, 1939 – October 3, 2023

8, 2023. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2023, with John Bergesen officiating at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs. Interment followed at Beggs Cemetery.

Casketbearers were grandsons; Skyler Shelton, Jacob Shelton, Lee Perkins, Audie Perkins, Zach Perkins, Mathew Bergesen, Christopher Perkins and Kenni Wefer.
