Community assistance needed
The Preston Pirate Jump Rope Team is excited to announce that they have been personally invited to attend The North Carolina Rope Skipping Workshop in Durham, N.C.
According to Coach Vickie Graham, the workshop will bring together USA Team jumpers, International jumpers and coaches, and athletes to participate in an exciting fun-filled event of learning jump rope skills and techniques from the best.
This is a great and rare opportunity that the team has been invited to attend.
To attend this workshop, the team must raise the money for registration, travel via Muscogee Nation charter bus that will be driven by a certified professional driver, hotel rooms and food. To reach our goal, the team needs to raise $5,000 to cover our part of this great experience.
“We are asking supporters for a pledge of any amount to help us reach our goal,” Graham said.
Donations can be made through CashApp at $PrestonJumprope.
“Your pledge will be a great investment in the Preston Jump Rope Team and help our jumpers participate in a cultural enrichment learning jump rope adventure,” she said.
The Preston Jump Rope Team will be performing half-time at the OKC Thunder vs. Memphis Grizzlies game on Dec. 18. Tickets are available through the team at group prices. If you are interested in tickets, please contact Mrs. Graham at vgraham@preston.k12.ok.us.
