Local churches and organizations are partnering up to address the issue of drug abuse in our community. The St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church Higher Links & Community Outreach Ministries, along with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Tribal Opioid Response Team, will host an informational on the dangers of substance abuse.
“Come One, Come All. We Need to Talk!” will take place Thursday, Sept. 7, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago Street in Okmulgee. The discussion and training will focus on how to identify an overdose victim as well as hands-on training on administering the opioid overdose treatment Narcan.
