The Okmulgee Farmers Market is held each Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Creek Council House in downtown Okmulgee.

September 11 B.A.L.L. Group |

The Be Active Live Longer Group of First Baptist Church will meet Monday, Sept. 11, instead of Sept. 4. The meeting will take place at 11 a.m. at the church, located at 5th & Seminole in Okmulgee, with a potluck lunch to follow.

Prayer at the Square |

Mayor of Okmulgee Mickey Baldwin and Commissioner Erik Zoellner will host a Prayer at the Square Thursday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m. on the 6th Street sidewalk in downtown Okmulgee. The event will focus on peace, love and joy over the community.

29-30 Dewar All-School Reunion | The Dewar All-School Reunion will be held Friday, Sept. 29, with a mixer in the school cafeteria at 5 p.m. and the Dewar High School football game to follow at 7 p.m. Both are free to Dewar Alumni. A dinner will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 5:30 p.m. at Dewar First Baptist Church. The meal will be served at 7 p.m. and tickets are $25 (ages 80+ are free). Pay by Venmo at Dewar Alumni Association or mail a check to P.O. Box 346, Dewar, OK 74431 by Sept. 5. Include name, graduating class and number of tickets. Ongoing Events

The Food Pharmacy | The Dunbar All-School Alumni announces The Food Pharmacy, Helping Healing Hunger for those in Need. The event will be held the first and third Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Dunbar Community Center, 420 E. 2nd St. in Okmulgee. Okmulgee Headstart & Early Headstart Enrollment | Enrollment for Okmulgee Headstart & Early Headstart is currently underway for 3- and 4-year-olds Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 4300 N. Wood Drive.

Okmulgee County Republicans | The Okmulgee County Republicans meet the second Tuesday of each month at the Okmulgee American Legion Post 10, 730 W. 6th Street. The business meeting for registered Republicans begins at 6 p.m. and the general meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 6:30 p.m.

American Legion Coffee for Veterans | American Legion Post 10 will hold Free Coffee for Veterans each Saturday, from 7:30-11 a.m. Stop by the post, located at 6th & Okmulgee, with your war stories.

Community-Wide Hymn Sing | Calvary Baptist, 13th & Belmont in Okmulgee, invites the public to attend the 2nd Sunday Community-Wide Hymn Sing the second Sunday of each month at 4 p.m.

Okmulgee County Democrats | The Okmulgee County Democrats meet the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the OSUIT Student Union, 1801 E. 4th St. in Okmulgee.

NAACP Meetings | The Okmulgee NAACP Chapter meets the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago in Okmulgee. The meetings are open to the public.

Muscogee Creek Freedman Coalition | Muscogee Creek Freedman Coalition will meet every third Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago, 918-756-0607. Anyone is welcome.

Aglow International Worship on Wednesday | Worship on Wednesday based on Ps. 95:6 will be held at the Okmulgee Public Library each Wednesday on the mezzanine level upper room from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by Aglow International of Okmulgee.

Adult Basic Education | OSUIT is offering free Adult Basic Education classes for GED test preparation at the following sites: Beggs Crossroads Baptist Church, OSUIT at the old workforce building, Dewar City Hall and Henryetta High School.
