Overdose Awareness
The Okmulgee County Consortium (OCC) held a drive thru event last Thursday in Henryetta alongside representatives of CREOKS, Southern Plains Tribal Health and MCN Medical Assisted Treatment. Information was provided to those in attendance along with free medication lock boxes and disposal kits. There was free Naloxone, an opioid overdose rescue medication, and a brief training on how to administer it. Aug. 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day. Pictured above is an example of how much fentanyl is needed to be deadly to a person.
