Okmulgee to host festival this weekend

3-day event to begin Thursday at 3 p.m.

The Okmulgee Lady Bulldog varsity fastpitch softball team will host a 3-day festival this weekend.

The 3-day event will get underway Thursday at 3 p.m. when the host Lady Bulldogs square off against the Liberty (Mounds) Lady Tigers.

Thursday’s other festival contests will pit Liberty (Mounds) against the Warner Lady Eagles at 4:30 p.m., Warner against the Checotah Lady Wildcats at 6 p.m., and the host Lady Bulldogs battling Checotah at 7:30 p.m.

Friday’s festival schedule will begin at 3 p.m. with the Preston Lady Pirates taking on the Catoosa Lady Indians. The other festival action on Friday will pit Catoosa against the Gore Lady Pirates at 4:30 p.m. and Preston and Gore in a ‘Battle of Lady Pirates’ at 6 p.m.

Saturday’s festival action will start at 10 a.m. between the Liberty (Mounds) Lady Tigers and Catoosa Lady Indians, followed by the host Okmulgee Lady Bulldogs squaring off against Catoosa at 11:30 a.m.

The middle two festival games on Saturday will feature the Gore Lady Pirates, who will take on the Checotah Lady Wildcats at 1 p.m. and the Warner Lady Eagles at 2:30 p.m.

Saturday’s final two contests will feature the Preston Lady Pirates battling Checotah at 4 p.m. and Warner at 5:30 p.m.

— Saturday’s Games

Liberty (Mounds) vs Catoosa; 10 a.m. Okmulgee vs Catoosa; 11:30 a.m. Gore vs Checotah; 1 p.m. Gore vs Warner; 2:30 p.m. Checotah vs Preston; 4 p.m. Preston vs Warner; 5:30 p.m.
