After an illustrious career spanning 38 years in higher education, Dr. Bill R. Path, President of OSU Institute of Technology (OSUIT) in Okmulgee, has announced his retirement, effective Oct. 16. This decision comes as he and his wife, Deborah, embark on a new chapter in their lives, focusing on personal pursuits and family endeavors.

He expressed confidence in the capable and devoted professionals at OSUIT, believing they will continue to uphold the institution’s mission and triumph over future obstacles.

“I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the exceptional team of administrators, faculty, and staff at OSUIT in Okmulgee during the last dozen years of my career,” said Dr. Path. “Your inspiration, camaraderie, and support have left an indelible mark on me, and I will deeply miss each one of you.”

He plans to remain an active part of the community during retirement, cherishing the welcoming and vibrant environment it offers.

As he prepares to embrace the next phase of his life, Dr. Path is dedicated to ensuring a seamless leadership transition at OSUIT. He will work closely with the OSU System Office in the coming months to facilitate this process.
