Due to the large amount of produce being harvested, the Okmulgee Farmers Market will also be open Saturday this week.
Regular market hours are Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., but this week, the market will also be open Saturday during the same time period.
However, not all the vendors will be there Saturday.
Some of the items posted that will be available are:
• Cantaloupe
• Tomatoes
• Cucumbers
• Squash – Yellow, Spaghetti, Acorn and Zucchini
• Potatoes
• Okra
• Onions
• Peppers
• Long Green Beans • Collard Greens
• Corn
• Local Honey
• Beef The market also features baked goods, crafts, flowers, canned goods, tie dyes and much more.
The Okmulgee Farmers Market accepts SNAP, senior market cards and Chickasaw Nation cards, and some vendors also accept debit cards.
The market is currently getting approved to take Cherokee Nation cards and also offer the double-up SNAP program.
