The Okmulgee County Criminal Justice Authority presented Dr. Miranda Ruleford with an award of acknowledgment for her service in providing dental care for our local incarcerated persons.
OCCJA Executive Director Shannon Clark said that Dr. Ruleford “has been wonderful to work with,” adding that, “in the three years I’ve been here we’ve had businesses in Bix- by, Tulsa, all over, and we think we found a great partner now in the dentistry field.”
Dr. Ruleford began her thanks by acknowledging the help of OCCJA medical administrative specialist Mrs. Darrelyn Joslin.
“We really have Joslin to thank for coordinating it so that it works for both of us … I’m happy to help … the inmates have all been easy to get along with and grateful for the care.”
Other residents may already be familiar with Dr. Ruleford’s work at Okmulgee Family Dental on 8th street, which she took over in 2014 after the two founders, Drs. Jerry Thorman and Randy Hess, had retired.
