County to be well represented at OK Kids Baseball Regionals

Team from Preston, Morris and Henryetta to battle for State berths at four different tournaments

Okmulgee County Little League teams will be well represented this week at four different OK Kids regional baseball tournaments.

A total of seven county teams from Preston, Morris, and Henryetta will battle other talented LL teams for a chance at state tournament berths.

Three of the seven county teams competing at regional tournaments this week will appear at two different 8U Coach Pitch events, while the remaining teams will compete at 10U and 12U tournaments.

The Morris Yard Dawgs and Preston Tiger Sharks will compete at the 8U regional tournament in Prague, while the Henryetta Dingers will compete at an 8U regional tournament in Coalgate. Both events will get underway this Thursday and continue through Saturday.

The two county teams competing at the 10U regional tournament in Cushing will be the Henryetta Tornados and the Preston Pirates. The Cushing regional tournament got started on Tuesday and will continue through Saturday.

The two county teams competing at the 12U regional tournament in Sallisaw are the Henryetta Express and the Morris Patriots. The Sallisaw regional tournament will get underway Thursday and will continue through Saturday.

There are a total of seven regional tournaments in each of the three age groups with the reigonal tournament winners punching their ticket to next week’s state tournaments.
