But that seems to be the world’s view of how believers should be. And when they show they aren’t? Well, the world puts them right up there on the cross like they did with Christ. But you know what? That’s to be expected, because Jesus told us the world would hate us because it hated Him first, so perhaps we should just look for that kind of response. No, Christians aren’t perfect - yet - but we work toward that end. Think of bodybuilders. These people practice their exercises each and every day, working toward a specific goal. They eat right, they get ample rest, and they lift those weights with ever increasing heaviness to reach their picture of how they think they should look. If ever they stop, that muscle mass turns into something a whole lot less appealing to them, so they keep going and going and going.
