When I read or hear the words “Safe Harbor,” it conjures up thoughts of safety or a refuge, keeping one safe from the rocky shores of life and living’s seamier sides. Once again, I’m reminded of a gospel song, “The Lighthouse,” penned by Ronnie Henson, that speaks of the big ships that are kept from crashing into the rocks of the seas by the lighthouse. And the Safe Harbor house was the subject of Tuesday’s Okmulgee Lions Club meeting, presented by the Director, Jawanna Wheeler.
