Beggs Frontier Day is Saturday

The Beggs Area Chamber of Commerce is planning a day full of arts and crafts vendors, live musicians, food, and a quilt show at Saturday’s Frontier Day Art Festival.

The festival is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Beggs, at the Alternate Hwy. 75 and Main.

— Schedule of Events 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

• 8-10 a.m. – Vendor Set up and Drop off for Quilts and Art

• 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Chalk Artists

• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Music – Jade and The Unsettled Souls

• 1 p.m. – Coin Scramble for elementary age and under

• 1-3 p.m. – Music by Cody Brewer

• 2 p.m. – Coin Scramble for middle school age

• 2:30 p.m. – Coin Scramble for teens/high school

• 3 p.m. – Awards Announced — Art Exhibit

10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

No age limit. Free to enter! A people’s choice award will be given. Bring pieces into the Old Health Center from 9-10 a.m. Location is Main and Alt. 75. Size restriction is 11×17 and be able to be hung up. Must have your name and phone number somewhere on your piece. Pieces need to be picked up by 3 p.m.

— Quilt Exhibit

10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

No age limit. Free to enter! A People’s Choice Award will be given. Bring pieces into the Old Health Center from 9-10 a.m. Location is Main and Alt. 75. Must have your name and phone number somewhere on your quilt. Quilts need to be picked up by 3 p.m.

— Chalk Art

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

No age limit. Free to enter! Judges will vote on each age group for 1 award per group.

Age Groups: K-4th grade, 5th-8th grade and 9th-12th grade Chalk can be picked up at the Old Health Center Location on Main and Alt 75. Pick up your number and make sure you have that number on your image for voting. You will need to be finished before 2 p.m. so our judges can submit their choices for awards at 3 p.m.

— Coin Scrambles

1 p.m., 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m. Free to enter! 1 p.m. Elementary and under. 2 p.m. Middle School Ages 3 p.m. Jr. High and High School Ages Coin Scrambles will be located across from Legacy Park on Main and Alt 75.
