“I was laying in bed, seemed like something said, ‘Get up. Get up because you can’t help him if you’re laying down.”’ -Vickie Jones --- Autism: a neurodevelopmental condition of variable severity with lifelong effects that can be recognized from early childhood, chiefly characterized by difficulties with social interaction and communication and by restricted or repetitive patterns of thought and behavior. - Oxford Dictionary - According to the National Institute of Health, the concept of autism was coined in 1911 by the German psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler to describe a symptom of the most severe cases of schizophrenia, a concept he had also created. At the time, Bleuler used it to describe his patient as “one who had withdrawn into his own world.”
