I’ve heard it said that life is often to one of those giant wall tapestries. These became popular in the Renaissance and afterwards. If you ever visited the cathedral in Los Angeles, they have very famous ones depicting the saints, looking photorealistic. The most priceless work in the Vatican Museum is a tapestry of the Resurrection of Christ by Raphael. These tapestries are absolutely massive, larger even than wall behind me. And they used to hang on the walls of the palaces and castles in Europe. And if you’re standing in front of these massive tapestries, you see this brilliant, beautiful scene. It might be a scene from Scripture like in the Resurrection of Christ or it may a landscape. It might be a pastoral scene; it might be a scene of a hunt. People out with their dogs out for a catch. Beautiful images.
