The Okmulgee County team of Leslie Lewis, Virginia Stanley and Buffy Richardson were recognized this week by the Oklahoma Association of Extension 4-H Agent for their Healthier Families program. The Okmulgee County team found a way to reach and serve their communities throughout the pandemic. The Healthier Families program began in February with National Baking Month and then continued each month with new recipes and content on Facebook. The goal was to meet the needs of the community and reach more individuals. The Oklahoma Association of Extension 4-H Agents (OAE4-HA) is the state’s professional organization for those dedicated to promoting, strengthening, enhancing and advocating for the 4-H youth development profession.
