History of Greenwood Lake shared with Lions
An appropriate song for Tuesday’s Okmulgee Lions Club meeting might have been “you get a line and I’ll get a pole, we’ll go down to the crawdad hole,” except the destination would probably have been Greenwood Lake, not the proverbial crawdad hole. You might still can find a crawdad hole available, but Greenwood Lake has not been available as a “swimming hole” since 1994 - just only to the migrating ducks and geese who have pinpointed Okmulgee on their migratory map.
