On March 19, Advanced Certified Medication Aide (ACMA) Stephanie Penn was called upon to perform CPR upon an inmate in distress. As a result of this action, the individual returned to normal breathing and regained consciousness and was taken to the hospital for evaluation. For decisive action and positive outcome, Stephanie Penn displayed conduct worthy of recognition before the OCCJA Board of Trustees, her colleagues, and the community of Okmulgee County. As such, she received the OCCJA Lifesaving Award at last week’s meeting board meeting by Deputy Director Christopher Cook and Executive Director Shannon Clark. COURTESY PHOTO
