Andersons Donate to Landmark For All Generations, Inc.
Leman Leman (right) accepts a donation from Dr. G. Bret and Michelle Anderson toward the restoration of the former Okmulgee Black Hospital, now known as the Landmark For All Generations, Inc. Dr. Anderson’s father, Joel, worked as the administrator at the former hospital for many years before it closed in the mid-1950’s. A drive is underway to replace all windows and doors of the building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Place. Landmark For All Generations, Inc. was established to bring the history of the former Okmulgee Colored Hospital “to life for all generations.” COURTESY PHOTO
