Salvation Army Appreciates Support for Angel Tree
By News Staff

Salvation Army Council Members are busy gearing up for Christmas Distribution on Dec. 15 at First United Methodist Church. Angels are on the tree at Walmart and waiting to be adopted. Gifts must be returned by Dec. 6 and may be left at Walmart in the designated area or dropped off at the Family Store located at 111 E. 8th in Okmulgee. Pictured above with Walmart Manager Deanna Hewitt (center) are council members Mary Ballard, Sharon Lewis, Pat Wilson and Gwyn Blackwell. Becky Whittaker is continuing efforts to schedule volunteers to bring the kettle bells at Walmart. Please give her a call at 918-756-8614 with dates and time you can ring. Burke’s Department has teamed up with the Salvation Army in support of the Angel Tree Program. They are strong supporters of the Salvation Army and are encouraging their customers to purchase a toy for a child in need during this Christmas Season. Pictured above with some of the many gifts that have been purchased are Burke’s employee Danielle, Pat Wilson with Salvation Army and Bobby Lynn, Store Manager. The Army is grateful for the generosity and support of Burke’s Department Team. COURTESY PHOTOS
